It is the mission of the Wildcat Football program to transform boys into great men. It is our goal to develop the tools necessary to be positive members of society. It will be through football that we develop toughness (physical/mental), determination, attitude, strong character, integrity and the ability to trust. We will develop a TEAM attitude where every player knows they are no less or no more important than any other teammate. We will develop leadership skills that transfer from the field to everyday lives. We will set the bar very high in order to achieve greatness. Our number one goal is that our players graduate from high school. Academics will be the focus year round to ensure success in the classroom and in the future

- May 31 – July 1st Monday through Thursday—Lifting: 7 am to 12 noon (3 groups)
- June 29th – July 5th–State wide moratorium (no practice/no lifting)
- July 6th –July 9th –Wildcat Conditioning Camp: 7 am to 11 am
- July 11th –July 15th –Wildcat Padded Football Camp: 6 am to 3 pm @Woods Cross
- July 18th – 22nd—Lift and Skill Development 7am to Noon
- July 25th –July 29th—Tryouts begin, Skill Development, Heat Acclimation
- August 1st –August 5th: 2 a Days: 7 am to 1:30, Aug 3rd Varsity scrimmage 7 PM, Aug 5th Soph/JV scrimmage.
- August 8th-11th –Endowment Game Week, afternoon practices. 3 pm, 7 am Spec Team Practice
- August 12th –Endowment Week, Game vs. West Jordan-no Sophomore/JV game
- September 5th : Labor Day. We will practice at 3 pm.

- Players will attend all of their classes and sit in the front two rows of all of their classes. Coaches will be checking. If teachers allow.
- No headphones in class. No texting in class. Be active in class and take notes.
- Players that have D’s or F’s will be required to attend study hall.
- If a player misses a class, there will be consequences.
- No earrings, jewelry or hats are to be worn to meetings or anything associated with football.
- No drinking. No drugs. No stealing. Treat women with respect.
- We will become a true TEAM and learn to impose accountability upon each other. Cliques are over.
- Our expectation is to be the best WOODS CROSS team ever.
- Players will learn that they would rather practice than milk a minor injury.
- The focus is on graduating and being successful. Anything extraneous to that is a distraction and will be stamped out or removed.
- There will be leadership training. Leaders will SEPARATE themselves.
- Do not do anything to embarrass yourself, your family or the team.
- The time for talk is over, make a commitment or move on. I would rather do things than talk about things. We just talked. Now it is time to do.
The Mission of the Woods Cross Strength and Conditioning program is to promote growth and development (Physically/Mentally), to teach proper technique, offer sound nutritional feedback and ensure durability and injury prevention. It is the objective of the S & C program to provide the Woods Cross Football program, and its athletes a comprehensive plan to achieve all strength and conditioning goals. We will provide our student athletes with the means to train with intensity, commitment, desire, discipline and dedication while maintaining teamwork throughout.
